Birla Jute Mills, unit of Birla Corporation Limited, participated in the national workshop on Weaving a Greener Tomorrow-Jute for Sustainable Infrastructure, on 20 August 2026, at the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, at Surathkal. This national event, organized by the National Jute Board & Indian Institute of Science & Technology, Bangalore, brought together academicians, researchers, consultants, engineering professionals & students. Mr Deepak Kumar Gupta, General Manager, Marketing, represented Birla Jute Mills, and presented the industry perspective on the development, production and commercialization of jute geotextiles and jute geocells. He addressed questions on the engineering application of jute products, market potentials and initiatives to support the development of sustainable solutions.
