Birla Corporation Limited and the National Jute Board were the only representatives from the jute sector at the Indian Geotechnical Conference 2024 (IGC 2024), held from 19 to 21 December 2024. Organized by the Indian Geotechnical Society’s Aurangabad Chapter and the Civil Engineering Department of MIT, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), IGC 2024 aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the geotechnical engineering community. The conference had major participation from geo-synthetics manufacturers.
Professors and researchers from the Civil Engineering departments of prominent engineering colleges, including IIT and NIT, presented papers at the forum.
Birla Jute Mill’s stall, showcasing a range of sustainable jute geotextile products, generated significant interest among the delegates.
